RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav hit back at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar questioning him how many youths have been given opportunity to rise in politics?
Tejashwi challenged Nitish maintaining that if he is so against a scion from a political background joining politics, could he write on a stamp paper declaring that his son (Nishant) will never join politics?
“Nitish chacha says that youths today are joining politics on the basis of their political background. He should tell how many youths have been given opportunity by him to join politics? Nitish should refrain from making hollow comments and give an undertaking on judicial stamp paper that his own son will not come into politics.”, tweeted Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader.
Nitish Kumar on Tuesday, speaking at the conference organised by the JDU youth wing was critical of youth who come from political background to join polirics. Though, Nitish did not take names, it was amply clear that his was directing it at Tejashwi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
“No youth is in politics independently. People coming from political background enter and rise in politics”, said Nitish Kumar, at the event.
Rubishing Nitish’s allegation, Tejashwi said that it’s the people who vote for them once they join politics.
“Youths from political families may be entering politics but it’s the people who elect them as their representatives. There is democracy in the country and not monarchy”, tweeted Tejaswi Yadav.
Tejaswi said that his tweets have started to irk the CM as he cannot censure them, the way he does it in the print and electronic media.
