Shahid Kapoor has confirmed the speculations that did rounds on the social media about his Arjun Reddy’s Hindi remake. The Padmaavat actor will be playing Vijay Deverakonda in this Hindi version of the Telugu film. The actor has been in talks for a while but finally he has confirmed his involvement by posting a picture with team. He will start working on Arjun Reddy after wrapping up Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
The actor took to Twitter and wrote, “Team ARJUN REDDY is READY !! Here we go. Wish us luck guys.”
The picture features Sandeep Vanga, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde apart from Shahid Kapoor himself.

Sandeep Vanga, who was the helmer of original film will also be in charge of director Shahid Kapoor’s version of Arjun Reddy. The female lead of the film hasn’t been confirmed as yet. The project will be produced by Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani.
Arjun Reddy is a superhit film about a medical student falling in love with his junior and how their relationship evolves. The film features Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in led roles. The film faced criticism from several quarters for being regressive however it was also lauded for its honest portrayal of the character. Arjun Reddy resonated well with the local population. Let’s see if Shahid Kapoor’s version manages to weave magic in Bollywood.
