HMD Global on Wednesday finally unveiled the Nokia X6 as the first phone in the X Series in China. The mid-range phone comes with a brand new design language for the company as it is the first Nokia phone to sport a display notch, pushing the aspect ratio to 19:9 for a more immersive experience. The phone is priced close to the Nokia 6 (2018), but packs in a lot more in terms of design and hardware.
The Nokia X6 not only sports a notched display, but it also comes with an all-glass design. Additionally, the mid-range phone sports a dual rear camera setup and is powered by a capable Snapdragon 636 chipset, among other things. Heres a detailed look at the specs and key features that the Nokia X6 brings to the table.
Display: The Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch FHD+ (1080×2280) TFT display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top and an aspect ratio of 19:9.
Processor: The handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset.
RAM: It is offered in 4GB and 6GB of RAM options.
Internal storage: The 4GB RAM variant will get two options of 32GB and 64GB of internal storage, while the 6GB RAM variant will come with 64GB of internal storage. All three variants support expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card.
Rear camera: The Nokia X6 bears a dual camera setup which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with similar aperture.
Front camera: A 16-megapixel sensor is housed inside the notch up front.
Software: The Nokia X6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo and the company says it will be among the first to get Android P as well.
Battery: The phone houses a 3,060mAh battery with support for fast charging via USB Type-C port.
Connectivity: Connectivity option on board include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Theres also a 16-megapixel sensor up front and HMD is also touting some AI smarts to help capture better images. The AI will also help with portrait lighting effects and capturing impressive bokeh shots.
— The Nokia X6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and the company will bring timely security updates as well. The phone will also be among the first to get Android P in the future. Additionally, if the phone does come to India, you can expect it to be part of the Android One program which means pure, stock Android experience.
The Nokia X6 has been priced starting at CNY 1299 (approx Rs 13,800) for the 4G + 32GB variant, CNY 1499 (approx Rs 16,000) for the 4GB + 64GB model, and CNY 1699 (approx Rs 18,000) for the 6GB + 64GB version. It is available for pre-order right now on platforms like JD.com and Suning.com and will go on sale starting May 21. As of now, the phone has only been announced for China and there is no word on when and if it will be available in India.
