Nokia X6 launched: Full specifications, features, price, and more | tech

Nokia X6 features a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a 2.5 curved glass on top.


HMD Global on Wednesday launched its new Nokia X series in China. From the series, Nokia X6 is the company’s first smartphone and also the first to feature the iPhone X-like notch display design. Nokia X6 also continues with the company’s design with 95% of its body covered in glass.

The smartphone is currently available only in China with no word on a global launch as yet. Nokia X6 is offered at three storage variants going up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Nokia X6 price

Nokia X6 starts at CNY 1,299 (Rs 13,800 approximately) for the base variant with 4GB RAM plus 32GB storage. The mid variant with 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage will retail at CNY 1,499 (Rs 16,000 approximately). The top model with 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage carries a price tag of CNY 1,699 (Rs 18,100 approximately).

Nokia X6 specifications

Nokia X6 features a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio, and a 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. For photography, Nokia X6 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a combination of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. Up front, it houses a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options on the Nokia X6 include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, and FM Radio. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery along with support for fast charge. On the software front, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The smartphone will also be upgraded to the upcoming Android P OS.

1:38pm: That’s all from HMD Global’s event. The company unveiled a new Nokia X series. The first phone under the new series is Nokia X6. It’s a mid-range Android smartphone with an iPhone X-like notch display on the front. Stay tuned for more updates.

12:45pm: According to reports, Nokia X6 will be priced around at CNY 1,799 (Rs 18,900 approximately) for the top-end variant. In India, it could be priced much lesser.
