Library offering individual and group technology training | Area Briefs


The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is offering free technology classes and one-on-one technology training to area residents.

Technology classes are 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the Main Branch, 220 N. Union St. Registration is required, and those interested may sign up online.

The schedule includes: May 16, advanced Excel; May 23, alternatives to cable TV; May 30, Windows 10; June 6, introduction to Excel; June 13, advanced Excel; June 20, alternatives to cable TV; June 27, Windows 10; July 11, introduction to Excel; July 18, advanced Excel; July 25, alternatives to cable TV.

One-on-one technology training will be 3 to 5 p.m. Mondays, May 14, 21, 28, Main Branch, 220 N. Union St.; 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, May 16, 23, 30, Main Branch.

Drop in during the listed times to get one-on-one technology help. There will be assistance in learning new technology, navigating the Internet, or figuring out mobile devices. Staff will not able to fix computers.

Help will be given on a first come, first served basis.
