Early trends from Chamundeshwari shows that the Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah is trailing in Chamundeshwari constituency. However, Siddaramaiah is leading in Badami constituency. Siddaramaiah’s political career could be at stake if Congress is unable to get a majority in Karnataka. Trends also showed Congress leading in 43 seats, while BJP leading in 36 seats. Janata Dal (S) is at the third position with lead on 11 seats. The polls on 222 out of 224-member Karnataka assembly took place on May 12.
