Janhvi Kapoor to debut at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival, father Boney and sister Khushi to accompany

If latest reports in the media are anything to go by, Janhvi, before making her screen debut with Dhadak, is all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The budding actress has been invited to Cannes to be a part of the special honour being bestowed upon her late mother.

The Cannes Film Festival 2018 has kick-started. Like every year, the popular film festival has become a talking point in India due to presence of Bollywood stars in the French Riviera. While Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut’s stunning looks at Cannes are making headlines, there is another big story that is doing the rounds on the Internet. It’s about Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

If latest reports in the media are anything to go by, Janhvi, before making her screen debut with Dhadak, is all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The budding actress has been invited to Cannes to be a part of the special honour being bestowed upon her late mother. We hear that Janhvi will be accompanied by her father Boney Kapoor and younger sister Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi, who passed away in February due to accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel, will receive a special salute for her contribution to cinema, Titan Reginald F. Lewis Film Honours, at Le Majestic Beach. (Mother’s Day Special: This throwback video of Sridevi will leave Janhvi and Khushi moist-eyed)

Talking about the same, Boney, in a Hindustan Times report, has been quoted as saying, “I’m happy that people from the world over are recognising her body of work and her contribution to cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s comforting to know that she lives on through her work.”

Sridevi, whose last big screen appearance was in Mom released in July 2017, was posthumously awarded the Best Actress award for her performance in the film.
