Karan Johar has set the wheels of Jahnvi Kapoor’s debut vehicle rolling with the film, which also stars Ishaan Khatter opposite her. If Bollywood is one crazy all-nighter, KJo is its host. And in this wild party, he makes sure to issue personal invitations.
If Kangana Ranaut’s claims are to be believed, it is not very encouraging for the ‘outsiders’.
Believe it or not, wherever there is Bollywood news or gossip, we’d find a mention or two of the Dharma don. And why not! He is, ahem, the flag-bearer of bringing new talents to Bollywood.
What!?! Have we forgotten Alia Bhatt, the dynamite of talent, who blew the audiences’ mind away with her performances in Raazi, Highway, Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi? Well, she was introduced by KJo in Student of the Year, alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.

People often lash out at him for his overbearing images on almost all platforms. But, an undeterred KJo merged the glossiness of television with that of the movies. If there would be no Karan Johar in Bollywood, who’d share images from Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday bash and give us a peek into the Badshah’s larger-than-life vacation home in Alibaug? Or who’d announce the weddings of the actresses, who have been restricted to chat shows and reality TV?
Let’s not forget the blockbuster movies, we’d also not have them without him. Today’s Bollywood has a lot of Karan Johar and a lot from him too.
Karan Johar is the massy entertainer, who refuses to be limited to one medium or industry. He is a shrewd businessman and entertaining filmmaker, and the balance makes him the ‘secret ingredient’ for the sanity of the film industry and sanctity for entertainment.
