PCC media chairman Manak Agarwal said, “Bhaiyyuji Maharaj was not just a local spiritual identity but was known nationally. In April, the state government conferred on him the stature of a minister of state, which he refused to accept.
He did not accept the position and was under pressure from BJP to work for them. A CBI probe into the death would reveal the real story why Bhaiyyuji took the extreme step.”
Rejecting Congress’s allegations, BJP state spokesperson Deepak Vijayavargiya said: “The death of Bhaiyyu Maharaj is very sad. Congress has a history of playing politics over ‘dead bodies’. I request them not to take political advantage at this moment.”
